Silvio Nagai with their kids, Maki, EMi and Diego
Silvio Nagai is the youngest of Sensei's four childrenTadao Nagai and he certainly inherited from his father his technical virtue and competitive spirit.
Like Tadao, Silvio Nagai was one of the most technical athletes of his generation. Two-time Brazilian champion, once representing Pernambuco and the state of São Paulo, Silvio has classical Judo as one of his main brands.
Among his titles, Silvio was champion North / Northeast, several times champion Pernambucano and Bronze in the Brazilian Meritorious Championship, as well as twice Brazilian champion of Judo.
For a long time, Silvio was the family's bet to reach an Olympics, after bothSilvana Nagai, and Tadao, had their dream hindered by cuts in Brazilian teams, but as Judo is not always such a smooth path, Silvio decided to leave for Japan, where he lived for 16 years. There, Silvio married and started a family and in 2014 decided to return to Brazil to be close to his parents.
Today, as well as Sergio Nagai, Silvio works as a coach at the Nagai Recife Association and is a coach at the Pernambuco Judo Federation and one of his sons, Gabriel Hiroshi Nagai, follows the same path as his father and has been collecting titles.
Silvio has 4 more children and two of them, Emi and Diego Nagai, have already started their steps in Judo, guaranteeing the future of the family on the mats.
